Trademarks & Copyrights

Most businesses are intimately familiar with the importance of intellectual property law, especially the patent regime. However, many wonderfully creative businesses tend to overlook the importance of the other intellectual property regimes that might impact the successful market implementation of their genius: trademark and copyright. Trademark law protects the investment in the brand, including non-functional design elements of an invention. Copyright protects the creative expression of an author's ideas. This session that will round out your understanding of the interrelationships of intellectual property law.
